Teaching Science at our school strives to provide quality arts integration including learning “through” and “with” the arts, arts integration as a curricular connections process, and arts integration as collaborative engagement. There is a multitude of connections between Science and forms of art.
For example, in Biology students may prepare illustrations of neurotransmitters and synapses metaphorically or through computer animation.
This way, students make science concepts their own. Students will complete journal writing activities based on their observations with eco-systems or explore
nutritional aspects for animals and their habitats, taking pictures for PowerPoint presentations.
